Living with Purpose Together in 2012

Finding purpose in your life as an individual definitely has it’s benefits and creating individual goals is important.  It gives us motivation, direction, and increases our quality of life.  It’s very easy and normal as we challenge you to think about your purpose and goals for 2012 to head straight to thinking about what individual accomplishments you would like to pursue.  But what about finding purpose in your relationship? Many times we think the goal of our relationship is to satisfy ourselves or satisfy our partners.  But what if you decided to take on a challenge together that would involve participation and support from both partners.

Having a sense of purpose in your relationship can help you and your partner feel closer and stronger.  It can help your relationship grow as you feel a sense of togetherness in your accomplishments.  So what common interests do you and your partner have?  Maybe it’s fitness and you both set out to run a marathon or eat healthier.  Or maybe it’s supporting a cause you both are passionate about by volunteering together.  Whatever it is, anything you can do together that you both will enjoy, can set a goal in, and support each other in will benefit your relationship.
