What does gratitude do?  How does it help us? Is it a way of life for you?  How can we show it?

One thing gratitude enhances is satisfaction.   Always remember to show gratitude to people even if no one knows.  You will have personal satisfaction of knowing what you did for someone.

Showing gratitude keeps us in check so we don’t become greedy or feel entitled.  If we feel entitled to something or if we are jealous of others we are not showing gratitude.  Your attitude can become bitter if you don’t show gratitude.   Gratitude is a personal quality that molds and shapes us into the people we are.  It’s not just something we do or say.

One way to show gratitude is to say ‘thank you’ to everyone and always say ‘thank you’ to God for what he has done for you.  Even in the darkest times of your life you can always find something to ‘thank God’ for.  Being grateful is one of God’s requirements.  If you count your blessings, you will be blessed.

“Of all the attitudes we can acquire, surely the attitude of gratitude is the most important and by far the most life-changing.”~ Zig Ziglar

In everything give thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18a)
