Here is a great conference that was recently held that focused on happiness. Being happier helps to reduce stress levels. The workshops helped attendees to reduce the amount of stress they are experiencing. Attendees looked at different philosophies. The authors writes, as many of the speakers acknowledge, most of the scientifically proven ways to boost well-being are common sense: being kind, working on relationships, exercising and eating healthier food.

”If you’re unhappy and you haven’t had a vegetable for five years, […] all the positive thinking, all the connecting with other people is not really going to make that difference [that you need],” says University of Sydney psychologist Anthony Grant.
